The unique draft root beer restaurant has a menu that consists of categories such as burgers & chicken, All-American dogs, and sides. Fan-favorites include Papa Burger, Original Bacon Double Cheeseburger, chicken strips, Coney Dog, corn dog nuggets, cheese curds, and onion rings. A&W’s desserts and beverages include, of course, draft root beer, Famous Floats, Freeze, shakes, and Polar Swirls. A&W gives you plentiful options of quick, easy-to-take food. A&W Restaurants was founded in 1919 in California by Roy W. Allen and Frank Wright. The chain of fast-food restaurants serves a cuisine of their signature root beer, hot dogs, hamburgers, and chicken products. Fittingly, the brand’s name was taken from the founders’ surnames. The success of the restaurant led to the A&W root beer being bottled, packaged, and sold in stores. To testify to that success, A&W had more stores than McDonalds at one point. In 2013, the brand opened its first new concept restaurant, “A&W Burgers Chicken Floats”, which focuses on ready-to-order food and makes a conscious effort on customer service. To date, there are 1,200 restaurants with 350 of them coming in international areas.
