Subway was founded in 1965 in Connecticut by Fred DeLuca and Peter Buck. Subway serves a healthy cuisine of sandwiches, salads, and even pizza. Subway advertises itself as a much healthier alternative to fast food joints, and its slogan “Eat Fresh” testifies to that. Subway claims all of their breads are fresh and served with healthy, fresh ingredients. Its most popular item would be the $5 foot long. Presently, there are more than 43,000 restaurants around the world, making Subway one of the fastest growing and popular franchises in the world.
