On the Border is known for their "Guacamole Live" where they will come to your table and prepare the guacamole in front of you, using fresh avocados, spices, and a mortar and pestle in order to grind the avocado into guacamole.
Additionally, On the Border frequently has a happy hour special from 3 - 6 PM, Monday through Friday. The special includes $5 Bar Bites (these change, but they currently are Cheese Quesadilla, Cantina Nachos, 2 Chicken Flautas, 4 Firecracker Stuffed Jalapeños, 5 Mini Crispy Tacos, or the Queso Sampler). The drink special includes heavily discounted beers and margaritas. They offer free chips & salsa as well.
